Doug’s new book, “Fire and Rain: Keys to Transforming Your Community” is now available. This work outlines the key ingredients to globally transforming communities, following the principles clearly illustrated by the prophet Elijah in his monumental contest with the priests of Baal. Doug Norwood of Broken Jars spent a week in Guyana, Oct 2-8, encouraging real unity in the Body of Christ. Here, pastors in Linden, Guyana confess sins of divisiveness, repent, forgive each other, and proclaim their unity by announcing that there is now one church in Linden and that they are pastors together in it and of it. Behind me were hundreds of elders and deacons, heads bowed, hands raised aloft, praying for the pastors of “THE” Church – all recognizing that there is only one church in town, with these men and women pictured here co-pastors of it. more....
